Vanessa Brcic

Biography

Vanessa Brcic is a family physician and graduate of the UBC St. Paul’s Hospital Family Practice Residency Program (2009), with an MSc from the UBC School of Public and Population Health (2021); her thesis research is entitled “Deconstructing oppression in women’s health care: Building capacity for trauma and violence-informed primary care.” She is also a Registered Therapeutic Counselor (ACCT) and integrates somatic, trauma- and equity-informed practices in her work in family medicine. She is a graduate of the Clinician Scholar Program, a Research Associate with the CCPA-BC, and the co-founder of Basics for Health Society.
