Clinical Assistant Professor

Dr. Marisa Collins is a family physician with a master’s degree in community medicine and epidemiology.  Her research interests lie at the interface of primary care and public health, with current focus on health risk behaviours and experiences of youth and young adults. Research presented today was funded by Vancouver Foundation, Women’s Health Research Institute, Vancouver Coastal Health and Options for Sexual Health. Marisa and her husband are developing a filbert orchard on their farm near Pemberton, where they have lived since 1996.  They have, between them, three grown children; also two dogs and a cat.
