Maureen Ashe

Biography

Maureen Ashe is a Professor in the UBC Department of Family Practice, physiotherapist, and Canada Research Chair in Community Mobility. She works on mobility-related research, including recovery after hospitalization and participation in life activities within the community setting. A/Prof Ashe is interested in improving quality of life in later years through mobility. Her research program emphasizes the objective measurement (accelerometry) of physical activity and sedentary behavior patterns across different populations, and testing lifestyle interventions (in-person and delivered remotely) that support behavior change.
