Dr. Rob Stenstrom is currently a staff emergency physician at St. Paul’s and at BC Children’s Hospital, and the the Director of Emergency Medicine research at St. Paul’s Hospital. He is an Assistant Professor at UBC, and a Research Scientist at the Centre for Health Evaluation and Outcome Sciences (CHEOS). Dr. Stenstrom completed an Honours then a Masters degree in physiology, followed by a PhD in Biostatistics and Epidemiology at McGill, then medical school at McMaster. His current areas of research include sepsis and septic shock, MRSA and bacterial resistance, as well as biomarkers for acute coronary syndromes and sepsis.
