Medical education research; medical student career choice and its impact on health human resources and the Canadian health care system; participatory research with lay health perceptions of marginalized women
Dr. Ian Scott is an Associate Professor. He has dual certification in the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. In addition, he holds a Masters degree in Health Research Methodology from McMaster University. Dr. Scott is responsible for supporting the training of medical students in all four years of the undergraduate MD Program. In this leadership role, he has endeavored to apply scholarship in all his teaching and educational duties while at the same time explicitly fostering the development of students and being committed to serving the needs of the University and society. He is the chair of the CFPC’s Undergraduate Medical Education Committee.
